Madar is a platform for running your own academy — your courses, your students, your name over the door. Most of what it does differently comes from three decisions.
A course you cannot skip
A lesson runs one step at a time, and the next step does not exist until the current one is genuinely finished: the video watched, the cards rated, the check passed at the mark you set. Locked content is never sent to the browser and hidden — it simply is not there yet.
Courses can be ordered the same way. A learning path opens each course only when the one before it is complete, final assessment included, so nobody arrives at the third course without the first two.
Practice that comes back
Flashcards return on a schedule built from how well you rated them, not on the day you happen to open the app. Distributed practice and retrieval are the two findings the evidence is clearest about, so they are the two the product is built around rather than bolted onto.
A failed quiz points you back at the sections covering what you missed instead of handing over the answer, and the teacher sees which wrong answer was most popular — which is what separates a badly worded question from a gap in the teaching.
Your students are yours
You decide who gets in: open to everyone, by application with a question you write, or invitation only. You can nominate by e-mail address, so a cohort does not have to sign up before you can admit them.
Madar takes nothing from what your students pay you. They pay you directly, on your own payment page, and you admit them. We sell software to teachers; we are not a marketplace taking a cut of other people’s teaching.
Where it is
Madar is in active development and running on a staging environment while its first academies are built. It is not yet generally available.
